Mathilde Picard graduated from the National Superior School of Physics, Electronics and Materials (Phelma) where she specialized in photonics and microelectronics. During her academic curriculum, she notably completed a research internship in molecular dynamics at the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, USA) and a final internship at the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) in Grenoble and at ST Microelectronics.

Upon completing her engineer training, Mathilde Picard attended the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) where she earned university degrees in both Patent law and Trademark and Design law.

Mathilde Picard joined Hautier IP as a patent engineer in 2021.
